• The SMS format is: 
• Send “BAL” to 9223766666 (there should be no inverted commas). 
• Make sure to use the number registered in your bank account.

• Follow the format shown below to sign up for the SBI SMS service if you haven’t already:
• Call 09223488888 and enter “Account Number.”

SBI will confirm your registration through email. In addition, customers can now use this feature to check the balances of their SBI accounts as well as their mini statements, e-statements, education loan, and housing loan interest certificates.

Net Banking balance check for SBI online

Log in to the SBI online platform if you have online banking permission. Using this channel, you may check your balance and apply for cash transfers, personal, mortgage, and home loans. The procedure is as follows:

• On your net-connected device(PC or phone), go to the SBI’s official website.
• Choose the login option in the personal banking section.
• Fill in the respective details, i.e. Username and password, and press login.

SBI clients have the facility to check their savings accounts balance through the SBI Balance check number. However, you must first sign up for this service. To activate this service, you must first make a missed call or text the word “BAL” to the number 09223766666.

Check the SBI balance with an ATM Card

You may check your balance if you have an SBI Debit card by inserting it into the nearby ATM and choosing the “Balance Enquiry” option. The complete procedure for the same includes:

• Swipe your ATM card and press the “Balance Enquiry/Balance Check” button. 
• Enter your four-digit ATM PIN.
• The screen displays the balance of your SBI account.
• If you wish to receive a “Mini Statement,” choose that option and then enter your 4-digit pin again.

Only a set number of free ATM transactions are permitted for SBI customers each month. The bank will charge additional ATM transactions if you surpass this number of transactions. Thus, you should use alternative methods to check your balance as a result.

USSD SBI Balance Enquiry

You must dial *595# to sign up for SBI Balance Enquiry by USSD. A message welcomes you to the platform, and you will receive a list of services. The list will include

• Fund Transfer
• Forgot MPIN
• Mobile Top-up
• Enquiry
• Change MPIN
• De-Register

Choose the service you desire; for example, in this case, “Enquiry”, and your mobile will receive balance details after selecting the choice from the list.

Although the SBI has removed the SBI minimum balance requirement, the client must have information about their balance. Therefore, although the SBI Balance Check Number serves as an ideal tool, various other methods are just as easy.
